well duh, if there are 450-600rwhp Z06's to compete with and gutted miatas with 350rwhp, you need more power :)
You should be at a lot more power if you are running SM2 at nationals.....In SM2, lots of cars are lightened, an 1800lb miata is ridiculous. Your full interiored stock weight Z could use a diet, many of the crazy light and fast cars go on it, yours should be on it even more. It is how serious you want to make it (You dont need to go all out). The cars you describe sound much more serious than you. Suspension makes so much noticable difference at autox. A proper cornerweighting with aggressive alignment does even more so. From the pics it seems that you are still stock susp, thats why I asked. That will take many seconds off your time. I don't know what tires you run either. Those cars you talk about are very modded. Your isn't nearly. Hard to make a fair comparison. I just think we as racing Z owners would appreciate the fact that the Z could be made very competitive. I think there is a lot more in your car. No car you buy will be at this level unless you mod it a great deal. I think you know that. You have a nice Z, I'm just trying to convince you of all the possibilities. Good luck,
